Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of recent experience and active licensure for an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care and outpatient physical therapy unit
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with 8-hour day shifts and occasional weekend inpatient coverage
• First to float within unit as needed
• EMR system used is Cerner; previous experience preferred
• Role involves coverage of both acute care and outpatient settings with potential weekend duties for inpatient coverage
• 12 hours of orientation provided at the start of assignment
• All certifications must be active at the time of consideration; pending documents not accepted
• Candidates who have been employed by affiliated CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past year are not eligible
• Professional attire or scrubs as required by the unit
• Applicants may be asked to float between related care areas based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent physical therapy experience required
• Active state or compact (NLC) PT license required; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the past 3 years, with dates of employment and rehire eligibility
