Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuroscience ICU position in Massachusetts with a strong background in neuro critical care and an active MA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Neuro ICU caring for critically ill adults with neurological diagnoses such as neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, and spinal cord injury with complex comorbidities
• Unit has 24 beds with a typical census of 22
• Assignment is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Clinician to patient ratio is 1:2
• Epic charting system is used and prior experience is preferred
• Provide comprehensive care to adult patients with complex neuro critical conditions
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the hospital
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided at time of assignment
• No validated parking is available; public transportation or paid public parking is necessary
• Timekeeping is managed using UKG/Kronos

Requirements

• Active, non-conditional MA RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current BLS certification through AHA is required
• 2+ years of recent strong critical care experience is required
• 1+ year of travel nursing experience is required
• 2+ years of neuro critical care experience is preferred
• No pending licensure accepted
• Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions allowed
