Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuroscience ICU position in Massachusetts with a strong background in neuro critical care and an active MA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Neuro ICU caring for critically ill adults with neurological diagnoses such as neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, and spinal cord injury with complex comorbidities
- Unit has 24 beds with a typical census of 22
- Assignment is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Clinician to patient ratio is 1:2
- Epic charting system is used and prior experience is preferred
- Provide comprehensive care to adult patients with complex neuro critical conditions
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the hospital
- Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided at time of assignment
- No validated parking is available; public transportation or paid public parking is necessary
- Timekeeping is managed using UKG/Kronos
Requirements
- Active, non-conditional MA RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current BLS certification through AHA is required
- 2+ years of recent strong critical care experience is required
- 1+ year of travel nursing experience is required
- 2+ years of neuro critical care experience is preferred
- No pending licensure accepted
- Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions allowed
