Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg float pool position covering Level 1 Trauma, Chest Pain Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center units with night shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital setting as part of the Med/Surg float pool
• Floats between Med/Surg floors and may occasionally float to a secondary campus
• Covers Level 1 Trauma, Chest Pain Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center units
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Expect to float among a variety of acute care units including trauma, chest pain, and stroke centers
• Facility has a radius rule: local candidates may be accepted at a reduced rate depending on location
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
• All positions are auto-offer
• Discuss extensions with your manager 45 days before assignment end date
• Only one submission allowed per system-wide positions

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required with license and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training preferred
• No minimum years of experience required
• US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Driver’s License, two references, and license verification required for consideration
