Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a TX or compact license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a 21-bed Medical Surgical ICU
• Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15, 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Cares for a variety of critically ill adult patients
• May require weekend and holiday shifts as needed
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills required
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations is essential
• Must adhere to dress code and professional standards
• All candidates may be required to work weekends and holidays as necessary
• Local candidates are accepted, but will receive a reduced pay rate based on facility radius rules
• Travelers may only accept one travel contract within the health system at a time

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must provide Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must have a US Social Security Number and US address
