Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in California, requiring a current CA RN license and L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Care for laboring mothers and neonates, including high-risk cases
• Utilizes Epic EMR system
• Primary responsibilities include assessment, education, and care for laboring mothers and neonates, including high risk and routine deliveries
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• All licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration
• Workers may not exceed two years on assignment without a 90-day break per policy

Requirements

• Current and active CA RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least one year of recent (within the past three years) full-time equivalent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Active BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• Documentation for last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• High-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years preferred
• Five or more years of recent L&D experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
