Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with night shifts requiring a MO or compact license and strong Med/Surg Tele background.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts are 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), three shifts per week
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Must cover 50% of holidays encountered during the contract
• Floating required within the med-surg cluster and as a Patient Observer (sitter) in other areas as needed
• Cerner EMR used; experience preferred but not required
• Expected to float to any area within the organization as needed, including covering shifts as a sitter
• Assignment includes required online modules during orientation and annually
• Local candidates accepted at a different rate if residing within 75 miles
• Candidates must include all requested time off (RTO) at application for approval
• Re-orientation not required for returning travelers within 18 months

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in Med/Surg Tele
• 2 professional references from a charge nurse or above required
• Accepts first-time travelers
