Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT certifications for 12-hour day/evening shifts.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital diagnostic imaging department performing computed tomography procedures
12-hour shifts with start times of 6:00 AM, 8:30 AM, or 10:00 AM
Every 4th weekend and holiday rotation required
On-call rotation included
Possible need to alternate shifts and flex hours to provide quality patient care
Performs CT procedures and may assist with radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable exams as needed
Prepares and administers contrast media and maintains IV access for procedures
Corroborates patient's clinical history and documents for use by radiologists
Provides practical instruction to students and partners
Follows universal protocol, standard precautions, and applies patient safety principles
Participates in equipment and supply decisions, and inventory control
Holiday and weekend coverage are required as part of the shift rotation
Flexibility to work overtime may be needed to support patient care needs

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited radiography program
Minimum of 2 years CT experience required
Active ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
Current BLS certification required
IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
State license required if applicable
