Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Telemetry position, requiring a MO or compact RN license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on patients needing long-term acute care treatment
• Common cases include respiratory failure, osteomyelitis, complex wound care, hyperoxygenation therapy, acute kidney injury, and post-stroke care
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Day shifts are 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
• Float to other units as required
• Every third weekend required, totaling 8 weekend shifts per contract
• Self-scheduling is available
• Uses EPIC EMR; experience preferred
• Expected to manage care for patients with complex, acute medical needs
• Must complete non-billable orientation modules via MyPath during onboarding
• Team supports self-scheduling for greater flexibility
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a reduced rate
• Free parking is available on site

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (pending acceptable, must be in hand before start)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required, 2 years preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Must provide a copy of driver’s license and SSN for consideration
• Must not have been employed at facility in the past year as a traveler
