Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California with required CA RN license and night shifts.

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital
Patient population includes laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk obstetric cases
Shift is 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
13-week assignment
Uses Epic EMR system
Duties include managing laboring patients, assisting in deliveries, and providing care for high-risk obstetric cases
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Team includes experienced L&D nursing staff and interdisciplinary support
Must adhere to hospital protocols and dress code
Assignment subject to maximum tenure as per HR policy

Requirements

Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time L&D experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
Preferred: 5+ years of recent L&D experience and 1 year of high-risk L&D experience within the last 2 years
Experience with high-risk OB patients is preferred
Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
Last 4 digits of SSN and DOB required for consideration
