Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 trauma Emergency Department position requiring Epic and ED experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department within a Level 1 trauma center
- Cares for adult patients in a designated Stroke Center and Primary PCI center
- Responsibilities include triage, trauma care, rapid assessment, and acute care
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 12-hour shifts
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, public health, and patient teaching skills
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, except for facilities with a 60-mile radius rule
- Position is within a highly varied and active practice setting
- Candidates must be prepared for a rapid and dynamic environment
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 trauma center or academic hospital
- Experience at a facility with 500+ bed count required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- At least 1 year of travel nurse experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- ATCN or TNCC certifications preferred
