Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced PICU RN with at least 2 years of recent pediatric ICU experience and current MA RN license for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work setting is a pediatric intensive care (PICU) unit in an acute care hospital
- Patient population includes critically ill pediatric and adolescent patients
- Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:30)
- Every other weekend coverage is required
- Floating may be required to other ICU units within scope
- Charting is done in Epic
- Position does not require on-call shifts
- Work in a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Level III/IV NICU
- Solid color scrubs are required in all units
- Free parking available for night shifts with discounted day and evening options and shuttle service
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required for consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Prior travel nursing experience in PICU is required
- References from two of the last three places of employment are required
- Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay
