Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery critical need position in California, requiring an active CA RN license and recent L&D experience.

Responsibilities

Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit assignment
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
13-week contract assignment
Uses EPIC EMR system
Primary responsibilities include caring for laboring mothers, monitoring fetal and maternal status, and assisting with delivery and newborn care
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
All required licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration; pending documentation will not be accepted
Adheres to institutional tenure policies regarding maximum assignment durations and required breaks
Compliance with COVID and Flu vaccination requirements may be necessary

Requirements

Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery experience required
Current BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
Preferred: At least 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery within the last 2 years
Preferred: 1 year of high-risk labor and delivery or High Risk OB experience within the last 2 years
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
