Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift position requiring a current AZ or compact RN license, with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
  • Adult and geriatric patient population with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • 40-bed unit combined with ICU but staffed separately
  • Specializes in procedures such as AVR, valve replacements, CABG, open triple A's, CRRT, and Impella, IABP, EKOS, bronchoscopy, EGD, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and burr holes
  • Tech support available on the unit
  • Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Primary focus on managing adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiovascular and critical care needs
  • Use of advanced equipment such as CRRT, Impella devices, IABP, and EKOS
  • Team environment with tech assistance
  • Navy blue scrubs required as dress code
  • Completion of required compliance training within 90 days of hire and annually
  • Holiday coverage may be required as needed
  • Travelers who have worked more than two assignments with Tenet must take a 12-month break before returning

Requirements

  • Active AZ or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Previous CVICU or ICU nursing experience required
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical or religious exceptions accepted)
  • Must be eligible to work at the facility per return policies regarding past assignments
