Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery night position in California, requiring an active CA RN license and recent L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Care for laboring patients including high-risk obstetric cases
• EMR system used is Epic
• Provide specialized care for mothers and newborns, including high-risk deliveries
• Adhere to hospital protocols and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Dress code and scrub color requirements may apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Contingent workers may not exceed two years of employment without a mandatory 90-day break per policy
• Required to submit proof of licensure, certifications, and personal identification prior to consideration

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• Preferred: BSN or bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Preferred: Over 5 years of recent L&D experience (within the last 2 years)
• Preferred: At least 1 year of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the past 2 years
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
