Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position in an adult, high-acuity setting requiring a current MA RN license and recent ICU or acute care experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve in an 18-bed adult Trauma ICU specializing in medical, surgical, abdominal/lung transplant, and critically ill trauma cases
- Work schedule is a rotating 36-hour per week with an even split of day and night shifts
- Every other weekend and every other holiday work required
- Epic EMR system is used on the unit
- The unit features a large multidisciplinary team providing care for high-complexity, critically ill patients
- Flu vaccine is required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- No validated parking; public parking or transportation is necessary for Boston-based locations
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility; local rate adjustments apply
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at the time of consideration; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification from AHA is required
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care inpatient or current ICU nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
