Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN for home infusion services requiring advanced pediatric infusion skills and a valid MD RN license.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting serving pediatric patients from newborn through young adult
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Service areas include Baltimore County, Prince George's County, areas of DC, Montgomery County, and Southern Howard County
- Focus on skilled home and infusion nursing including care for Central Venous Access Devices (PICCs, Infusaports, Hickmans)
- Administers a variety of infusions such as IVIG, Remicade, and Entyvio
- Requires travel between patient homes; mileage reimbursement provided for travel over 25 miles per day
- Epic EMR utilized
- Responsibilities include providing, coordinating, teaching, and supervising pediatric care in patient homes
- Must effectively educate and communicate with families from varied social and cultural backgrounds
- Tolls and parking expenses are reimbursed
- A cell phone is provided for work use
- Local candidates are accepted, except Howard County General where no locals within 60 miles are eligible
- Candidates should have experience working in facilities with 500 or more beds
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of pediatric experience in an infusion suite, clinic, ED, or PICU
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Strong infusion skills including PIV placement from newborns through young adults
- Advanced experience with central line devices
- Epic charting experience required
- Valid Maryland driver’s license, current auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
