Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with at least 3 years of perinatal ultrasound experience and active RDMS-OB/GYN and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position based in an acute care setting within the Perinatal Ultrasound department
• Rotates between two locations in Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Uses Cerner as the electronic medical record system
• Travel between two clinical sites will be necessary; housing in between both locations is recommended
• Orientation includes 12 hours on-site
• Candidates may not have been employed directly by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past year
• Specific documentation including a copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sonographer, specifically in perinatal ultrasound
• Active BLS and RDMS-OB/GYN certifications required
• Active state license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 years, both with employment dates and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
