Description

Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital opportunity, requiring Illinois PT license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Position is based in an acute care hospital setting
Primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Works with patients of all ages across various conditions and acuity levels
Utilizes EPIC EMR system; EPIC experience required
Patient care includes evaluation, plan of care development, and therapeutic interventions
Supervision of PTAs and rehabilitation technicians as dictated by regulations
Responsibilities include evaluating, treating, and documenting care for all age groups
Designs interventions addressing patients' functional and emotional needs
Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team throughout the rehabilitation process
Adapts care plans in response to patient progress and feedback
Provides education to patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare staff
Supervises support personnel while adhering to legal and ethical standards
No local candidates accepted per 50-mile radius rule
Requests for time off may not exceed 7 days in a 13-week contract
Position does not accept travel partners
Candidates must provide a 30-day notice to cancel after the assignment has started
Returning travelers are subject to a one-year-on, six-month-off policy before returning

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
Current Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required if applicable
BLS certification from American Heart Association required
Minimum of 1 year recent acute care PT experience required; new graduates will be considered
Level 1 trauma center experience required
Documented EPIC charting experience required
