Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CICU) night shift position requiring a current NC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU) in an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Applicants must provide references, skills checklist, and valid nursing license verification
- First-time travelers will be considered
- No Canadian SSNs accepted
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year recent CICU or cardiovascular ICU nursing experience
- Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required with no certification expiring within 30 days of assignment start
- US Social Security Number and DOB required for consideration
- No 90-day or greater gaps in work history within the last 12 months

Lots of other travelers, nice approachable management that are on the floor in scrubs to help not criticize, updated cerner launch point, staff helps other staff, security is able to protect staff, PD is at hospital
Cons
Charge is only available to help with traumas otherwise they sit at their desk, techs assign pts to ER rooms making very heavy patient loads with multiple traumas with other nurse assignments being very light, not enough policies to protect nurses from verbal and physical violence from patients
