Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment requiring at least 18 months of recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Assignment consists of 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotating schedule (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am); shifts may be variable to meet hospital needs
• Patient population includes medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Travelers may be required to float as needed to support hospital operations
• Qualivis – Lotus platform is used for submitting hours worked
• Must work at least every other holiday during the contract
• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment will be required during orientation; must pass both within two attempts
• Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, with time tracked via Silkroad
• Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals within one year of previous assignment end date
• Candidates must complete onsite fingerprinting and badging prior to start
• Facility does not accept candidates with an open case on background check
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free requirements

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 18 months permanent RN experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty required prior to travel assignments
• Recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience within the past 18 months required (travel experience acceptable)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required, all active at time of consideration
• One supervisory reference within the Med/Surg Tele specialty required (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
