Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certifications for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab within a Level I Trauma, teaching facility
- Adult cardiac patient population
- May float to outpatient cath lab or other hospital units based on skill set and census
- Shift is 4x10s, days, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend coverage required as needed
- On-call required for 18 days in an 8-week period
- Uses Cerner as charting system
- Scrubs are provided in the Cath Lab
- Preferred skills include experience with EP, Structural Heart procedures, MacLab, and Xper
- Free parking available
- Must complete all required modules during orientation
- Must work 2 out of 3 holidays; no time off allowed during first week of assignment
- Return candidates must have concluded previous employment at the facility at least 12 months ago
- Travelers who cancelled a previous contract within 10 days of start at the facility are not eligible for rehire
- Locals are accepted for this position
- Unit manager approval required for time off requests outside standard guidelines
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab Technologist experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certifications required
- Experience with Cerner charting strongly preferred
- Ability to float to outpatient lab and other units as needed
- License required if applicable
- Two professional references, with one from the most recent employer within 1 year of start, required prior to consideration
