Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health hospice position, requiring at least 1 year of recent experience and proficiency with HCHB EMR.

Responsibilities

• This is a home health setting serving hospice patients
• Patient population is primarily geriatric
• Average daily caseload is 5-7 patients, to be confirmed during the interview
• Proficiency with HCHB EMR is required
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call rotation required every 6th weekend
• Territory may extend up to a 60-mile radius from the office
• No local candidates accepted
• Primary responsibilities include providing physical therapy treatment and documentation for home health hospice patients
• Mileage reimbursement provided at the IRS standard rate
• iPad provided for work documentation; cell phone not provided
• Dress code is scrubs of any color; jeans are not permitted
• No call-ins are permitted
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
• Candidates must be prepared to cover territory within a 60-mile radius of the office

Requirements

• Current PT license in hand is required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year recent home health or hospice physical therapy experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency with the HCHB EMR is required
• Oasis experience required for staff completing SOC
• Ability to provide timely documentation and communication
• Must be flexible with travel territory
