Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring Epic experience and an active Oregon RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a blended cardiovascular ICU/intermediate care unit with 18 CVICU and 12 CVIMCU beds
• Care for patients aged 16 and older with primary cardiac diagnoses including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, cardiothoracic surgery, IABP therapy, pacemaker insertion, arrhythmias, STEMI/NSTEMI, and more
• Night shift position, working three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:30), with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Frequent floating between CVICU, ICU, and PCU, with required floating to an affiliate hospital approximately 15 minutes away
• EMR: Epic; experience is required
• Provide specialized care for post-cardiac arrest, post-surgical, and advanced cardiac intervention patients
• Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team
• Comprehensive training provided, including for IABP, CRRT, targeted temperature management, and ventricular assist devices
• Completion of up to 8 hours of non-billable modules required prior to start and annually
• Strict RTO policy; time off must be finalized at submission and cannot be changed post-submission
• No holiday block scheduling accommodated
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• First time travelers are eligible for consideration
• Business casual attire and appropriate scrubs required

Requirements

• Active OR RN license in hand (pending not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU or cardiovascular care nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Epic charting experience is required
• CCRN certification preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
• Former permanent staff must have a 6-month separation before applying as a traveler
