Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Cardiology Telemetry night shift position requiring strong cardiac skills and an active MA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a 24-bed Medical Cardiology unit
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30 with every other weekend required
• Patient ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Primary patient population includes cardiac and medical telemetry cases with post-cath care
• Requires ability to interpret tele strips and perform cardiac drips
• Care procedures include PCI, ICD, PPM, ablation, TR Band, and femoral approach
• Uses Epic charting system; experience required
• Must be able to provide specialized telemetry and post-cardiac procedure care
• Unit requires competency in interpreting rhythm strips and managing complex cardiac patients
• Flu vaccine is mandatory during flu season with no medical or religious exemptions
• Dress code details will be provided during onboarding
• Parking may require public lots with daily costs; validated parking is not available
• Local candidates within 60 miles will receive a reduced pay rate
• Timekeeping is tracked using UKG/Kronos system

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; MA conditional licenses not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with a strong cardiac background
• BLS and ACLS certification required from AHA
• Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and cardiac drip management
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• COVID and flu vaccine required with no exemptions allowed
• Proof of professional license must be provided prior to consideration
