Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT(CT) certification for a weekend acute care assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care setting within the CT department
• Serve outpatients, inpatients, and emergency department populations
• Department utilizes 2 CT scanners (Toshiba and GE) for general CT studies, including stroke codes
• Weekend shifts are Friday to Sunday, 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, with occasional call and holiday coverage
• Uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS for imaging and charting
• Start IVs as part of CT procedures
• Department-specific orientation is approximately 1-2 weeks and includes equipment training
• Occasional call required with a 45-minute response time
• Primary duties include performing general CT imaging studies and supporting stroke code protocols
• Start IVs as needed for CT procedures
• Black pants and solid-colored scrub tops are required
• Holiday coverage and occasional on-call shifts are expected
• Department leadership and support provided during assignment
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Returning employees must not have worked for CommonSpirit or associated facilities (including CHI and Dignity) within the past year except as PRN through outside firms

Requirements

• Active state or compact ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
• Experience with general CT studies, including ER and inpatient cases
• Ability to utilize Epic EMR and PACS systems
• Radiation badge required prior to starting the assignment
• Copy of valid driver’s license required
• Two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years
