Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan requiring advanced EFM and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Labor & Delivery setting within a hospital environment
• 12-hour night shifts from 7PM to 7AM with every other weekend required
• Assignment is 12 weeks in length
• No blocked scheduling available
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process and effective communication with the healthcare team
• Must complete online modules for orientation typically one week prior to start
• Weekend and holiday coverage as assigned
• Must adhere to facility and unit dress code
• Time off requests must be submitted prior to assignment; requests after assignment starts must be approved by management

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), Advanced EFM, NRP
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• Advanced EFM certification must be listed on resume for consideration (AWHONN's courses do not meet this requirement)
• Online modules must be completed onsite and passed prior to the start date
• COVID vaccination is mandatory
