Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring an AZ or compact license, Cerner experience, and a willingness to float between locations.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department providing care to diverse and acute patient populations
• Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30 with 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• Floating required between departments as well as to Marana ED and sister facilities (Northwest Medical Center, Northwest Houghton, Northwest Sahuarita)
• Use of Cerner EMR is required
• Provide comprehensive nursing care, utilizing critical thinking and leadership skills in the Emergency Department
• Responsible for delegating patient care based on education and staffing, and supervising assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education
• Must be able to work required holiday shifts as per department needs
• RTO (requested time off) requests must be less than 1 week
• Scrub or dress code will be communicated during orientation

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required before start
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required with no expiration within 30 days of start
• Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Cerner EMR experience is mandatory
• TNCC, CPI, or NIHSS certification preferred
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• No previous permanent employment at a CHS facility within the last 2 years
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Valid driver’s license required
