Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an adult medical oncology Med/Surg unit night shift requiring a valid RN license and prior oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on an 18-bed adult medical oncology unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes adults with solid tumors requiring acute care and Med/Surg telemetry
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Utilizes Alaris pumps and Epic EMR, with experience in these systems preferred
- Responsible for providing nursing care to adult oncology patients with solid tumors
- May require floating within comparable units if needed
- Local candidates are considered at the same rate except at certain specific facilities
- Scrub color or dress code not specified
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience required
- Prior experience in adult medical oncology required
- At least 1-2 previous travel assignments required
- Experience in hospitals with 500+ bed capacity required
