Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced ICU RN to float within critical care units, requiring a MA RN license and two or more years of ICU and level 1 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Assignment is within the critical care float pool of a hospital setting
• Rotating 12-hour shifts with both day and night shifts required
• Every third weekend work required
• Patient population includes critical and trauma cases
• Float position covering various medical ICU units
• Level 1 trauma environment
• Passing Tele/ECG and medication tests may be required
• Weekly orientation sessions available every Monday except holidays
• High acuity environment with rotating assignments among critical care units
• Parking in the Boston area may cost up to $43 per day
• All requests for time off must be submitted prior to offer

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required prior to consideration
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU and level 1 trauma experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster, and seasonal flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All previous employees must have a minimum 6-month break before returning
