Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced ICU RN to float within critical care units, requiring a MA RN license and two or more years of ICU and level 1 trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Assignment is within the critical care float pool of a hospital setting
- Rotating 12-hour shifts with both day and night shifts required
- Every third weekend work required
- Patient population includes critical and trauma cases
- Float position covering various medical ICU units
- Level 1 trauma environment
- Passing Tele/ECG and medication tests may be required
- Weekly orientation sessions available every Monday except holidays
- High acuity environment with rotating assignments among critical care units
- Parking in the Boston area may cost up to $43 per day
- All requests for time off must be submitted prior to offer
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required prior to consideration
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU and level 1 trauma experience required
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster, and seasonal flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed)
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- All previous employees must have a minimum 6-month break before returning
