Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN to float in a critical care pool, requiring a MA RN license and trauma level 1 experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Critical Care Float Pool of a hospital
- Float to various ICU units, including Medical ICU
- Serve a high-acuity adult patient population in a level 1 trauma environment
- 12-hour rotating shifts with days and nights
- Every third weekend is required
- Weekly orientation sessions held every Monday, except holidays
- Primary duties include providing critical care nursing across various ICU units as needed
- Pass/fail testing on Tele/ECG and medication is required for some campuses
- Parking can cost up to $43 per day at the work location
- All requested time off must be presented up front
- All interviews conducted by the nurse manager
- No local travelers will be accepted
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Current certifications: AHA CPR and AHA ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of related ICU nursing experience with trauma level 1 required
- Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Must comply with hospital vaccination requirements: COVID vaccine with booster and flu (medical exemptions accepted)
- Returning employees or travelers must have a minimum 6-month break from any prior assignment at related facilities
