Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a MA license, Epic experience, and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
• Patients include those requiring ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, and post-STEMI care
• Expected to float as needed to PACU, stepdown, and ED for care of holding patients
• Epic EMR experience required
• Main responsibilities include advanced hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac dysrhythmia recognition, and management of critically ill patients
• Testing includes pass/fail ECG/telemetry and medications exams at orientation
• One orientation session per month is available
• No time off will be considered for this contract
• Holiday coverage may be expected according to hospital scheduling requirements
• Scrub or dress code specifics not provided—confirm with hiring manager
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Interview and offers are conducted by Nurse Manager

Requirements

• Active MA RN license (temporary or permanent) required at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• 2-3 years of related ICU experience required
• Ability to pass ECG/telemetry and medication exams on day one of orientation
• CCRN certification preferred
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• COVID vaccination with booster and Flu vaccination required; medical exemptions allowed
• All former employees must have a 6-month break before returning
