Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring recent Epic experience and weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a large academic hospital setting
- High-risk patient population with obstetric cases
- 12-hour night shifts with potential to work occasional day shifts to cover schedule or vacation needs
- Every weekend coverage is required
- Assignment is 26 weeks in length
- Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years is required
- Responsibilities include caring for high-risk obstetric patients during labor and delivery
- Bi-weekly orientation provided, starting on Mondays
- No block scheduling is allowed
- All season or snow tires are recommended for personal vehicles between November and April
- Public transportation is not available, so dependable vehicle access is essential
Requirements
- Active VT or compact RN license required; candidates must apply for VT license within 24 hours of accepting offer if not already licensed
- Minimum of 2 years recent high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience within the last 2 years is required
- Experience in large academic hospital settings preferred
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required, especially during November to April due to weather conditions
- First-time travelers with required experience will be considered
