Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics Float Pool position requiring Level 1 experience and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital float pool setting covering pediatric units
• Care for a variety of pediatric patients with cases ranging from simple to complex
• Night shifts with holiday and weekend requirements
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Floating throughout pediatric departments is expected
• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including managing patient medications, monitoring physiologic status, assisting with minor procedures, and coordinating discharge plans
• Communicate effectively with patients and families about care plans and hospital procedures
• Delegate tasks to and collaborate with support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius from the facility to be eligible
• Adherence to hospital policies regarding extension and rehire after contract completion is required
• Holiday and weekend shifts are part of the regular rotation

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma environment required
• Some computer skills needed
