Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position on night shifts with a Michigan license, trauma level 2 experience, and current AHA ACLS/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical ICU of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes critical care and trauma level 2 cases
• 12-hour night shifts (7pm - 7am), 3 shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Coordinate and deliver compassionate quality care to critically ill patients using the nursing process
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team
• Expectations include completing pre-employment background check and drug screening requirements within firm deadlines
• RTO must be requested at the time of application; requests after offer require discussion with management

Requirements

• Active MI RN license in hand required
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• Previous experience in a trauma level 2 ICU required
• Online modules must be completed onsite with a passing score prior to start
• COVID vaccination is mandatory
