Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience and Level 1 Trauma background for an evening shift role.

Responsibilities

• Work in a non-invasive cardiology setting providing cardiac ultrasound procedures
• Adult patient population in a Level 1 Trauma environment
• Performs transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms
• Monday through Friday PM shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Main responsibilities include performing and interpreting echocardiographic studies, preparing patients and equipment, and assisting physicians during studies
• May be required to assist with transesophageal procedures and support in procedure rooms
• Team members are expected to act as resources for other staff and assist with quality and accreditation processes
• Any solid color scrub set is allowed but must be purchased by the employee
• Candidate must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no local travelers accepted
• Returning travelers who were previously employed full-time may have additional eligibility checks

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer in a hospital or trauma setting
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma environment is required
• Active TX license required if applicable
• Current BLS and either RCS or RDCS certification required
• Ability to work independently and be self-sufficient
• Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season; no exemptions are granted
• Two references required for consideration
