Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring C-EFM and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shifts available, 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Floating required to similar units such as Mom/Baby
• Call required: 24 hours over a 6-week period with a 45-minute onsite response
• High-risk Labor & Delivery patient population
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Primary responsibilities include caring for high-risk labor and delivery patients and supporting mothers through the birthing process
• Team structure may involve collaboration with Mom/Baby nursing staff during float assignments
• Pre-start and orientation modules are required and may take up to 12 hours
• Scrub or dress code requirements follow hospital policy
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
• No more than 7 days of RTO (requested time off) allowed per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• C-EFM certification through NCC required
• Current ACLS, STABLE, NRP, and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience with high-risk cases
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Two supervisor references required
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Return staff must have a minimum one-year gap from any previous employment at this facility
