Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift assignment requiring an active OH or compact state license and recent MS/Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry hospital unit
• Night shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Utilizes telemetry monitoring equipment
• Requires documentation of hours worked using Qualivis – Lotus
• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation with a required passing score
• Assignments at this health system are limited to a maximum of 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month wait required before returning
• Travelers may be extended beyond 18 months only by mutual agreement
• Testing and training are provided during orientation
• Dress code and scrub requirements to be provided during onboarding

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
• A minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• 18 months of previous permanent Med/Surg Telemetry unit experience prior to travel required
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in the specialty required
