Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring C-EFM certification and a current MD or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Day shift with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend is required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1-2
• May float to Postpartum, Couplet Care, or 'feeder/grower' assignments in the Level II NICU
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Preferred skills include triage, proficiency in sterile vaginal exams, and Baby Friendly hospital experience
• Magnet certified facility
• Mandatory modules to be completed pre-start and during orientation, with transcripts recorded
• Employees who have previously worked at this health system must have at least a one-year gap to be eligible
• Must adhere to holiday coverage and requested time off policies, with no more than 7 days RTO during a 13-week contract
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius accepted at a lower rate

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• C-EFM certification through NCC required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of L&D nursing experience preferred, may consider 2 years
• Experience circulating for C-sections and providing LDRP, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care
• ACLS, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications preferred
• Two supervisory references required
• Flu vaccine required
