Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a current CA license and advanced cardiac procedure skills for a hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Cath Lab setting
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 to 15:30
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• On-call required at least one day per week and one weekend per month, with opportunities for additional call
• Care for adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Responsibilities include circulating for procedures, administering and monitoring procedural sedation, and managing emergency cardiac interventions
• Orientation modules are required prior to start and are customized by specialty
• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Return staff are considered on a case-by-case basis

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proven experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, TAVI/TAVR, IABP and Impella
• Experience in sheath removal and monitoring, procedural sedation, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Ability to assist with central line insertion and management
