Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU Stepdown position on night shift in New Hampshire, requiring strong telemetry skills and current NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a PCU Stepdown (progressive care) unit of an acute care hospital
• Adult patient population with stepdown and telemetry needs
• Night shift schedule available in 12-hour shifts (7p-7a), with both 4x12 and 3x12 options
• Every other weekend coverage is required
• Holidays coverage is required
• Navy blue scrubs are required for all RNs
• Responsible for patient assessment, admission history, vital signs, laboratory and diagnostic review, and care plan implementation in collaboration with physicians
• Direct and indirect patient care under the nursing process is expected
• COVID-19 vaccine required per facility policy
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active and current New Hampshire or compact RN license
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of previous nursing experience preferred
• Must have PCU or stepdown nursing experience with telemetry skills
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is recommended
