Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN with a NY license for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift position caring for complex critical care patients.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 16-bed CVICU within a hospital setting
• Critical care patients include those with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and requiring CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, Impella, and targeted temperature management
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is generally 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour weeks, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Position does not accept local candidates within a 75-mile radius
• First time travelers are accepted
• Deliver advanced nursing care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, and multi-organ conditions
• Care for patients utilizing devices such as CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
• Occasional 1:1 assignments for high-acuity patients
• Team-oriented environment focused on high-acuity cardiovascular care
• Holiday shift coverage is required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in critical care, CVICU, or similar ICU setting
• Must be available for holiday coverage
