Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg Telemetry position in Texas, requiring a TX or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 30-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit specializing in Surgical, GI, and Oncology patients
• Utilizes Epic for charting
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Candidates coordinate and implement direct patient care and discharge planning
• Critical thinking and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment are essential
• Scrub colors are navy or maroon
• Radius rule applies for local candidates, affecting pay rate

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license verified with Nursys prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification, updated per group requirements
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references and copy of Driver’s License required
