Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license, ACLS/BCLS/NIH certifications, and at least one year of ICU experience for night shifts in a float pool role.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of an acute care hospital
• Float pool position with the possibility of floating to other like units and potentially other facilities within the state
• Night shift schedule, working 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratio is 1:2 in the ICU
• Every other weekend required with the potential for increased weekend shifts based on unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic charting system is used and EMR experience is required
• May be required to float to another nearby hospital
• Role may require floating to all units or facilities as needed across the state
• First time travelers are accepted
• Compliance with Royal Blue scrubs for RNs is required
• Free parking available on site
• Time off requests must be included at time of submission; post-offer or late RTO requests may not be accommodated and could impact contract status
• Block scheduling is at manager’s discretion

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB must be provided
• Must submit at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty or setting within the last 3 years
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months after leaving before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel assignments
• Pending licenses are not accepted
