Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least two years of recent specialty experience and flexibility to work across outpatient, home health, and acute care settings.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a rehabilitation department with a primary focus on outpatient therapy, with responsibilities in acute care and home health as needed
- 8-hour day shifts from 8am to 5pm, five days per week
- Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required
- EPIC EMR experience is preferred, with training offered on site
- Evaluate and treat a diverse patient population primarily in outpatient rehab, with additional responsibilities in acute care and home health
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs focused on maximizing patient function and independence
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and achieve patient discharge goals
- Returnees must have at least one year separation from prior permanent employment at the facility to be eligible
- First day orientation includes on-site training and testing requirements as applicable
Requirements
- Current NM Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in outpatient, home health, and acute care
- BLS certification required through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
- At least one previous 13-week travel assignment required
- No local candidates; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
