Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for an acute care setting evening shift position with ARRT, BLS, and Oregon state license required.

Responsibilities

• Position based in an acute care environment within the CT (Computed Tomography) department
• Evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Operates 2 CT scanners and 4 radiology rooms, with additional floating coverage to general radiology as needed
• Typical daily volume of 15-20 CT scans and 20-30 radiology studies
• Responsible for all CT and general radiology studies including portable and OR exams (no biopsies)
• GE equipment used for both CT and radiology
• EMR is Meditech and PACS is McKesson
• IV starts required for CT procedures
• Weekend and holiday shift coverage required when scheduled
• Orientation provided on day one
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Primary duties include performing CT scans, general x-rays, portable exams, and OR imaging
• Support available from lead technologists and RPAs during the week
• Radiologist available in-house except during graveyard hours, when coverage is remote (8 PM - 8 AM) for CT
• Department-specific orientation scheduled for the first day
• No requested time off permitted during the first week of assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT Technologist
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography (ARRT (R)(CT))
• Active Oregon state license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification
• Must be able to float between CT and radiology departments
• Ability to start IVs for CT procedures
• Experience with GE CT/radiology equipment preferred
• Experience working with Meditech EMR and McKesson PACS preferred
• Two professional references required, including one recent supervisor reference
