Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with SC or compact license, NBSTSA, and BLS certifications for a day shift ambulatory OR role.
Responsibilities
- Ambulatory Operating Room setting with 9 ORs
- Specialties include Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology
- Day shifts available: either 3x12s 6:30am-7:00pm or 4x10s 6:30am-5:00pm with one late day every 4 weeks to complete cases
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Possible floating within perioperative facility based on needs
- Uses Epic EMR; experience with this system preferred
- May be required to precept other care team members in the operating room
- All required modules must be completed before start
- During hurricane season (June-November), employees may be assigned to emergency response teams
- All requested time off must be included up front; approval based on facility needs
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a local rate pending HR approval
- Block scheduling requests may be accommodated at manager's discretion
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required at time of reporting
- NBSTSA and BLS (AHA) certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Experience with surgical specialties such as Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, or Surgical Oncology preferred
- Must provide a radiation badge from employer
- Social Security card and valid driver's license required for consideration
- Must have experience with Epic EMR or ability to learn quickly
- Previous permanent staff (including PRN) must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year
