Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a hospital float pool covering surgical specialty units
• Care for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• No local candidates permitted due to a 50-mile radius rule
• Responsible for a designated group of patients during each shift
• Document patient responses and changes in medical treatment plans
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Engage with patients and families regarding care and discharge planning
• Delegation of tasks to support staff as appropriate

Requirements

• Active RN license from Oklahoma or compact (eNLC) state
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Minimum one year of registered nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
