Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry night shift position requiring recent telemetry and cardiac drip experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Telemetry (TEL Unit 4N) within a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (1900-0730)
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Will float to all acute care units as needed
• Patient population includes cardiac telemetry with post-procedure care, including TR Band management and cardiac drips
• Unit utilizes EPIC EMR system
• Responsibilities include the care of telemetry and cardiac patients, management of cardiac drips, and post-procedure monitoring
• Orientation consists of several days at the main campus and training specific to the unit and EMR system
• Nicotine-free facility policy
• Holiday coverage required for either Christmas Eve/Day or New Year's Eve/Day, based on unit need

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience required
• Experience with cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem) and TR Band care required
• Experience with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
