Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med/Surg Float Pool nurse with KS or compact license and recent acute care experience for variable hospital shifts.

Responsibilities

• This is a float pool position covering multiple hospital units
• Expected to float between two hospital locations approximately 10-15 minutes apart
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Assignment is for 13 weeks
• Work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care to medical-surgical patients in various units as assigned
• Must be willing to float between locations as needed based on staffing requirements
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate according to facility radius rules
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• All positions are auto offer pending compliance and documentation
• Holiday coverage may be required based on assigned schedule

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience required
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
• MOAB De-escalation Training preferred
• Must have a US Social Security Number and US home address (no international addresses accepted)
• Submission must include two professional references and a copy of a driver's license
