Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient experience and an active license for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient physical therapy in an acute care setting
• Patient population primarily includes general ortho, neuro, BPPV, vestibular, falls, and a large geriatric population
• Treats 8-10 patients per day at a single location
• Works with a team including PTAs and rehab techs under supervision of the PT Director
• Uses Cerner EMR; EMR experience required or preferred
• Shifts are typically 8 hours, with possible start times between 0700 and 1730
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• Responsibilities include treating a diverse caseload with a focus on orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions
• Team includes PT Director, PTAs, and rehab techs
• Department-specific orientation provided on environment, processes, and EMR
• Burgundy scrubs or burgundy polo with dark pants required
• Candidates must not have been employed (full time, part time, or PRN) with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
• A 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Active state or compact (NLC) PT license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient PT experience required
• Current BLS and CPR certifications required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
